from Via Christi Cottageschool

We are Christian.

At Via Christi Cottageschool, our work is grounded in the Christian faith.

We believe that all truth finds its source in the God of the Bible, and that education, rightly ordered, leads us to a deeper knowledge of Him. Our aim is not only to help families in instructing young minds, but to provide place where homeschooling parents can witness their children cultivating wisdom, virtue, and a love for what is true, good, and beautiful.

Here, the Christian faith is not treated as a separate subject, but as the foundation upon which all learning rests.

Throughout our shared studies in Latin, Literature, Classical Studies, and more, students are consistently directed to see the hand of God in history, language, and the great ideas that have shaped Western civilization. Conversations are guided by a Christian understanding of the world, encouraging students to think rightly about truth, goodness, and beauty.

Scripture and prayer are woven into the rhythm of our Community Day. Assembly begins with hymn singing and recitation, grounding our community in shared worship and a common purpose. In the classroom, students are encouraged to reflect on what they are learning in light of their faith, forming habits of attention not only to knowledge, but to meaning.

This approach to Christian education seeks to cultivate both conviction and character.

Students are formed to love what is good, to pursue truth with humility, and to recognize beauty as a reflection of God’s order in the world. As they grow, they are encouraged to live out their faith through acts of service, integrity, and responsibility within their families and communities.

In this way, the work of home education becomes more than the accumulation of knowledge—it becomes a means of shaping hearts and minds toward a life that is rightly ordered and directed toward God.
